ChevyTime -Car Shows & Cruise Nights – Videos Included

We’ve been to many car shows & cruise nights around the ArkLaTex region. For the Shreveport-Bossier car shows, we don’t take the TomsMaHauL motorhome, as those gatherings are close to home.

When we go to car gatherings & cruise nights away from our home area, Tom takes the motorhome ahead of time. Tom pulls the toad (our Jeep Cherokee) behind the motorhome, so we can have a vehicle to get around in during that weekend getaway. Usually, Tom arrives in the motorhome a day ahead of a car event to secure & set up our spot, with an area that includes room for Teri to shine & detail her Chevy. Teri arrives the next day. In this video, Tom can hear Teri’s Chevy getting closer, but we also keep up with our locations (in motion) on the Life360 app on our phones. Tom knew Teri was about to arrive, so he started this video…

Even when we’re home for a weekend, we do take the ’69 Chevelle Malibu for a Sunday drive, but when we take the Chevy to various car shows in our region, we’ll make sure there is plenty of gas in the tank, for some evening rides around towns & countrysides. Here is a quick video of an evening ride, and Tom acts like a cop trying to get Teri to pull over for going too fast. After Teri’s sassy response, Tom didn’t know what to say, so Tom does a Karl (Sling Blade/Billy Bob Thornton) resonse….

Many cruise nights and car shows that we sign up for & attend, are to benefit worthy causes in the area. We enjoy the camaraderie among car folks, and especially talking to younger adults that are amazed that a stock Chevy from 1969, is so much larger & different than the newer stock Chevys that they’re more familiar with.

**Tom enjoys when young folks stop by to check out the Chevy, and hearing them say “That’s cool!!!”**

**Teri has been awarded trophies at some of the car shows that we’ve attended.** ***Teri keeps her trophies on a shelf near where we store her Chevy in the garage at our sticks n’ bricks*** *(our home in Bossier City, La.)*

**We took a ride to see the rising Red River near our home.**

**Teri’s Chevy has also been chosen as a getaway car for some special newlyweds. Usually, Teri drives her car everywhere, but when the car is a getaway car, Tom insists on driving** (because he’s good behind the steering wheel in getaway situations).
