Leveling Jack Spring Lost, Found & Reinstalled

I had our Tiffin motorhome in for service at Bayou Outdoor Supercenter RV Service in Bossier City. After the work was completed, I went to drive the motorhome on I-20, to the location that I store our coach. While on the interstate, there was a lot of debris in all of the lanes, and I tried to go over it (carefully). Something bounced up and struck the rear drivers side jack stand and popped the spring off of the jack stand. I heard a pop noise that alerted me to that fact.

After returning to the motorhome storage, I took a look underneath, and noticed this.

I, immediately, drove my Jeep back to the area of the interstate where the issue occurred and, as luck would have it, there was the jack spring on the shoulder of the road, which I collected.

After returning to the area where the jack spring was knocked off, I was happy that it was in tact, and on the shoulder of the road.

I contacted a close friend that was near our motorhome storage area that has dealt with just about anything that has to do with RVs. He came to the coach, used a bottle jack and a wood board, and managed to get the spring back onto the base of the jack and hooked the spring in at the top. I lowered the jacks, and brough them back up, and was happy. All good. I watched how the proceedure was done, and I have the tools to do the job, if I encounter another issue like that. Not a big, or timely, job, but takes just a little muscle.
