Arlington National Cemetery & Ocean City Time

There was time dedicated to going to Washington D.C., with the sole purpose of placing some flowers on a family grave site at Arlington National Cemetery. We believe that it would do every American some good to visit these grounds. The spouse can be buried with the soldier. We even saw some graves where there was the soldier and spouse, along with dependent child buried in a grave site. The families of soldiers deserve thanks, too. The families are the strongest supporters of the soldier. Arlington National Cemetery is a massive place, covering many generations. Very educational. We learn something new, every time we go. We’ve always been strong supporters of our troops. We hope you get to visit American’s most sacred shrine someday.

Teri placed flowers on her parents’ grave in this area of Arlington National Cemetery. The military person’s information is inscribed on one side of the stone, and the spouse’s name is on the other (if it’s decided to be buried together in the grave site).

While in the area, we drove north to spend a weekend with family from Boston and North Carolina that gathered in Ocean City, Maryland. Thanks to Marc & AnnaMaria for the stay in their condo on the beach.

It was DelMarVa Bike Week in Ocean City, and thousands of motorcycles in attendance. We are fans of live bands, and attended one of the bike week events where Teri’s uncle was performing with a rock band.

Teri’s uncle performed his final show with this band. We enjoyed dancing and listening to their music selection. Great band!
