Trippin' With Tom and Teri
Pilot and navigator
This Is Our Story, & We’re Stickin’ to It
We are high school sweethearts and have had many tent camping adventures in the early relationship. Years later, during our marriage, we would take our sons tent camping. In our 30s, after renting an rv once, we purchased our first rv. After 3 travel trailers and a used diesel pusher motorhome, we purchased our current motorhome (new in 2016). We’ve come a long way, and many learning experiences, since our first rv. We are not full-time rvers (yet), but we take “mini vacations” in our motorhome a few (or more) times each month, and have been known to take off for weeks (when time permits). We plan to full-time RV for a while, beginning in early 2026. Some of our journeys that we share here, are not rv trips. For the past several years, Teri has kept a diary of each of our travel experiences in her spiral notebook, and we share some of that information, along with our journeys going forward in our Journal & We Are Here sections on this site. Tom shares some of our rv maintenance, repairs & modifications in our Projects section. Tom’s been in the radio broadcasting industry for 45 years, and is, currently, “retired” (for a while). Teri is an H.R. Director for 3 locations in north Louisiana & plans to retire in early 2026. We cherish our time to recognize & support local business, local workers & local entertainment, where ever we go. We thank you for being with us during our journeys, as we update on our We Are Here page, at TomsMaHauL Facebook & TomsMaHauL YouTube.
Extraordinary Experiences & Making Memories
The destination is the goal, but the journey is a great adventure when memories are made.
We enjoy our time together, in as many places as we can, as often as we can. We’re long-time fans of auto racing, LSU football & other sports, as well as attending various music festivals. We are also known to support local bands & musicians in different towns (and sometimes, Teri manages to get Tom out onto the dance floor). We enjoy ourselves at museums, general stores, antique shops, spending time at state parks, time along the banks of the rivers & lakes, visiting Historical places around our nation and dining at local-flavor restaurants along the way. We have good memories of rving with close friends (the LIARS – Louisiana Independent Association of Recreation Specialists). Though we, mostly, enjoy places around the Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas & Oklahoma region, we’ve been to many other states. The best part is making new friends along each journey.
